Harold Halibut Baits the Hook with Fresh New Trailer

In 2017, a trailer slipped smoothly into crowded indie waters…then made a tremendous splash. Harold Halibut, a truly “handmade” project, had fans eagerly schooling around its line, hungry for teasers and news of a release. Years have passed, with studio Slow Bros. playing its line out ever so slowly and carefully–and now the German-based team is yanking us all back in with a wicked hook of a brand-new trailer. Harold Halibut, stop-motion wonder, is freshly summarized thus:

“Harold Halibut is a handmade narrative game about friendship, and life on a city-sized spaceship submerged in an alien ocean.”

Harold HalibutĀ is, as Slow Bros. states, a “cross between game and stop motion film.” The tactile nature of its aesthetic is no facade; the scenes and puppets have been built by hand. Follow Harold as he grapples with the question of whether the future lies with being bold or being safe in a world teeming with handcrafted minutiae. Harold Halibut has no release window yet, but it is planned to launch “soonish” on most major systems.
