Seattle-based Spry Fox is best known for mobile-focused hits like Triple Town and Alphabear, but their latest announcement heralds a fresh foray onto bigger screens. On October 29, Cozy Grove‘s first trailer and release window were dropped simultaneously, showing off a singularly spoopy island haunted by the specter of opportunity and…well, specters. Cozy Grove is summarized thus:
“Welcome to Cozy Grove, a game about camping on a haunted, ever-changing island. As a Spirit Scout, you’ll wander the island’s forest each day, finding new hidden secrets and helping soothe the local ghosts. With a little time and a lot of crafting, you’ll bring color and joy back to Cozy Grove!”
Cozy Grove‘s warm hug of an aesthetic is made possible by hand-drawn art, and players can look forward to spending around 40 hours in that winsome world. Hear the stories of lonely ghosts, stir up a sleepy community, and bring new life to old death. Cozy Grove is slated for release in the first half of 2021 for PC.
