A Short Hike’s adamgryu Releases the Pumpkin Fun We All Needed

You might have already carved your pumpkin for Halloween this year, but that just means you’re primed for your true masterpiece–one you can now realize in adamgryu’s freshly released Ghost Town’s 999th Annual Pumpkin Festival. Studio adamgryu (led by solo developer Adam Robinson-Yu) is known for the stellar hit A Short Hike, launched in April of 2019. Their new Halloween frolic is described with the following:

“Welcome to Scenic Ghost Town! There’s nobody here. …And that’s why we need you! Mayor Bones invites you, your friends, your relatives, and literally anyone else you can drag along to come and take part in the celebration!”

Ghost Town’s 999th Annual Pumpkin Festival is a pumpkin-carving simulator that takes place in a spoopy town run by a certain “Mayor Bones.” Players will be able to upload three of their pumpkin designs for all the world to see, fear…and revere. The server for this online portion will likely go down sometime after Halloween, but while it’s up, a gourdful of pumpkin fun awaits. Ghost Town’s 999th Annual Pumpkin Festival is out now for PC only, and it’s just the kind of spooky diversion we all needed.
