Embark upon a bite-sized, pixel-perfect escapade with Quill and Koji in Eagle Island‘s recently launched demo. In development by studio Pixelnicks, Eagle Island is a 2D action platformer featuring procedurally generated levels and metroidvania-inspired gameplay. Eagle Island originally launched as a Kickstarter project in 2017, and, after successfully meeting its funding goal, has since been steadily creeping towards completion. Eagle Island is described with the following:
“With its falconry-inspired gameplay & procedurally generated worlds, Eagle Island is set to a beautifully modernized pixel art aesthetic and provides a breath of fresh air to the character platforming genre. Eagle Island can be played in either Story, Roguelite or Speedrun mode.”
Eagle Island is planned for a Steam and Switch launch sometime “soon,” according to the Steam release date. For now, interested players can take to the skies in the Eagle Island demo available on both Steam and itch.io.
