Beautiful, brief, and benign, A Short Hike is now available through Humble Monthly as the April Humble Original. A Short Hike is Canada-based adamgryu‘s modest 3D treasure, swathed in tranquil music composed by Mark Sparling. The title features a simple goal: ascend a mountain and soar from the top. Charmingly casual, A Short Hike evokes a peaceful atmosphere while setting you on a journey of humble discovery. Says A Short Hike‘s press kit:
“Hike, climb, and soar through the peaceful mountainside landscapes of hawk peak provincial park. Follow the marked trails or explore the backcountry as you make your way to the summit. Along the way, meet other hikers, discover hidden treasures, and take in the world around you.”
While A Short Hike is currently only available through Humble, it’s planned for a summer release on other platforms for PC, such as Steam. Developer adamgryu is also working on an “untitled paper RPG,” and his previously developed games are still live. If you enjoy A Short Hike, it seems many endearing adventures are yet to come from this dynamite one-person studio.
