In a stroke of timing genius blessed by the winter gods, Project Winter released February 7, in the midst of the polar vortex turning our real world into a survival sim. Project Winter, Other Ocean Interactive‘s clever friendship destroyer, is now available in Early Access on Steam. The goal is survival, with a team of eight struggling against the harsh realities of a deadly environment — and treacherous snakes among their own number. Project Winter describes itself with the following:

In Project Winter, succumbing to the snow is the least of your most pernicious worries. Seek out rescue from the barren lands you find yourself stranded in, and work together to sniff out the traitors within your group. Project Winter is available in its early stages now, and looks forward to a plethora of game-improving patches over the months as it scrambles its way to a wintry final release.
