Battle Princess Madelyn Trailer Reveals Fall Release Date

In a trailer published today by Canada-based developer Casual Bit Games Inc., side-scrolling indie Battle Princess Madelyn announced its release date as being sometime this fall. While we still don’t have a final date to set our sights on, we’re content to know that we’ll be able to get our hands on this charmer sooner rather than later. Play as young knight-in-training Madelyn as she sets out on a perilous journey to rescue her kingdom, her family, and her world from a ne’er-do-well wizard. Inspired by titles like Wonder Boy 3: The Dragon’s Trip, this indie revives the spirit of old-school gaming in the best possible way. Battle Princess Madelyn‘s Steam page has this to say:

“Join Madelyn as she battles through graveyards, swamps, castles, the countryside and more! Polished gameplay, breath taking visuals, jaw-dropping dual soundtracks and epic adventures await!”

It’s worth noting that Battle Princess Madelyn is in fact named after developer Christopher Obritsch’s daughter, who has inspired and supported this retro indie from the very start. Slated for a massive release across almost all platforms (PS4, Xbox One, Switch, Steam, PS Vita, Wii U, Etch A Sketch, and more), Battle Princess Madelyn promises to charge into the crowded game release fray this fall with sword drawn and battle cry at the ready.
