The best kind of naming announcements are paired with a delectable slice of something you can actually sink your teeth into. World Eater Games gets it. On December 23, the Panama-based studio announced the name for their in-development project, plus a free demo for those who can’t wait for their piece of the Bittersweet Birthday pie. Bittersweet Birthday‘s recipe is summarized thus:
“Bittersweet Birthday is an action game where every combat encounter is a challenging and unique fight. You can also explore different areas and help many of the NPC populating them with their everyday struggles while learning more about the world and its history.”
Roughly an hour of gameplay is promised in this current demo. Poke at quests, chat with villagers, and get a taste of combat that’s designed to kill. You. It’s emphasized in the demo description that this is just an early peek, so players can expect that some experimentation with the ingredients will happen before the final title is served. The demo for Bittersweet Birthday is available now for PC only.
