On July 20, London-based ustwo games let the adorable cat out of the bag: they’re working on a new game, and that new game is slated for a winter 2020 release. ustwo games is responsible for titles such as Monument Valley and Assemble with Care–titles that have inspired countless other projects to reach similarly innovative and artistic heights. The new game is called Alba: A Wildlife Adventure, and the team describes it thus:
“Small actions can make a big difference. Join Alba, a young activist as she sets out to save a beautiful island and its wildlife.”
The trailer is brief and screenshots are limited, but there’s enough to already fall in love. Play as Alba, a young woman visiting her grandparents in the Mediterranean for the summer. While there, be stirred to action by the sight of wildlife in danger. Thematically appropriate for the times and marvelously charming, Alba: A Wildlife Adventure looks to be another feather in ustwo games’s indie cap. Alba: A Wildlife Adventure is slated for release this winter for PC, mobile, and “consoles.”
