After a nine-month stint in Early Access beginning November 2019, Meteorfall: Krumit’s Tale is ready to play its hand, coming soon as a full release for PC. Studio Slothwerks announced on July 6 that Krumit’s Tale will leave Early Access on July 23, with updates on a mobile release soon to come. Slothwerks describes its deckbuilder with the following:
“Krumit’s Tale, the second game in the Meteorfall universe, is a new take on the deckbuilding roguelike genre. Use your cards to clear dungeons, then upgrade your deck with new cards and perks to press forward. The fate of the world is in your hands.”
The first Meteorfall entry (Meteorfall: Journeys) launched strictly for mobile devices in 2018. It, too, featured a quirky cast, dangerous dungeons, and a unique spin on the deckbuilding genre. However, Krumit’s Tale evolves the original swipe system into a dynamic and grid-based one–now you must manage a perilous board and carefully select perks to secure your victory. Possessing a terrific sense of humor and animation style, Meteorfall: Krumit’s Tale is a welcome addition to the July lineup of releases. Meteorfall: Krumit’s Tale exits Early Access and launches in full for PC on July 23.
