Draw on death as an ability in Persephone, Momo-pi‘s precocious puzzler now in its final stage of completion. Persephone enjoyed piecemeal releases in 2018 and 2019, but April 14 saw the full version go live for mobile devices. Persephone chucks the common notion that death is a game ender and, instead, embraces death as a game changer. Momo-pi summarizes their adventure thus:
“What if death isn’t the end, but the key to solve puzzles? Where, when and how will you choose to die in order to progress? Transport yourself to this magical world enriched with beautiful graphics and captivating music.”
The Momo-pi studio wields members from all across the world, each weaving their unique perspective into the common tapestry that is Persephone. Winner of a variety of awards since 2016, Persephone is an unusual fusion of concepts and cultures, culminating in a turn-based adventure with more than 120 puzzles to parse. Persephone, the final rendition, is now available for mobile devices, and looks forward to a PC release sometime this year.
