Crank the Volume in Platformer Ynglet, Announced for 2020

Hit that volume dial. Studios Triple Topping and Nifflas have merged forces to develop Ynglet, an audacious platformer set to toy with aesthetic and gameplay norms for the genre. Ynglet features a reactive soundtrack as abstract and alluring as its geometric doodles, overlaid on a platforming foundation that has…no platforms. The developers describe their creation with the following:

“In Ynglet you’ll jump between bubbles that float in the sky like you’re a space dolphin, as you melt into a highly reactive and dynamic soundtrack created by Ynglet’s custom (and needlessly complicated) music software!”

Platform your way through the platform-less air, guiding a flowing, faintly aquatic creature through eclectic airborne challenges. The music responds to your movement, weaving a tapestry of sound unique to every player’s playstyle. Originally a game-jam project for No More Sweden by Nifflas and Sara Sandberg, Ynglet is now a living, breathing entity poised to impress with its experimental look and dynamic soundtrack. Ynglet was announced on February 11 for PC, and for now has no more specific a release date than simply “2020.”
