Towering Black Future ’88 Gets Nov. 21 Release Date

Put an end to a relentless nuclear rain in Black Future ’88, the cyperpunk thriller now freshly slated for release on November 21. Black Future ’88 is developer SUPERSCARYSNAKES‘s ultra-hip, 2D roguelike wherein players must ascend a deadly tower in order to restore a decimated world. On October 30, SUPERSCARYSNAKES’s Twitter announced the confirmed release date with aplomb, treating us to a new, vibrant trailer. Black Future ’88 summarizes itself thus:

“Black Future ’88 is a Synth-Punk roguelike 2D action Shooter. Vertically climb an always evolving procedural tower to reach the top and kill its insane owner…before your heart explodes. Shoot, slash, dash and upgrade yourself to survive the endless waves of Homicidal AI, Traps & Colossal Wardens.”

Choose one of five playable characters to counter the chaos of an alternate 1988. Come November 21, on either PC or Switch, ravage enemies in retro pixel-art style as you scramble your way up a procedurally generated tower that’s undoubtedly out to kill you dead.
