BioShock Development Director’s New Creation is Comic Void Bastards

Comic in tone as well as art, Void Bastards isn’t exactly what you might expect from the development director behind BioShock. Regardless, the strategic FPS draws from both BioShock and System Shock 2 for its foundation and expands outwards into a universe stuffed with witty danger, daring laughs, and more KBOOM!s than you can shake a stick at. Void Bastards describes itself thus:

“Inspired by BioShock and System Shock 2, Void Bastards is a revolutionary new strategy-shooter that will test your wits as well as exercise your aim. Can you lead the misfit prisoners of the Void Ark through the derelict spaceships and myriad dangers of the Sargasso Nebula?”

Australia-based studio Blue Manchu released Void Bastards on Steam, Humble, and Xbox One May 28. Snarky and clever, Void Bastards asks players to use their noggins and their trigger fingers as they navigate a nebula rife with gorgeous hilarity.
